Next week’s lot of Rock Band downloadable content brings us six tracks from renowned metal label Roadrunner Records. As an unexpected bonus, these songs will go for a discounted rate of $.99 (80 Microsoft points) until a month after their release, when they’ll increase in price to $1.99 (160 Microsoft points). They’ll also be made available in a bundle as well as individually, selling for $5.99 (480 Microsoft points) the first month and $9.99 (800 Microsoft points) afterwards. The new tracks — available Tuesday on Xbox Live and Thursday on the PlayStation Network — are as follows:
“Runnin’ Wild” by Airbourne
“Clouds Over California” by DevilDriver
“Constant Motion” by Dream Theater
“My Curse” by Killswitch Engage
“Aesthetics of Hate” by Machine Head
“Sleepwalker” by Megadeth
It took about nine months of nonstop complaining, but we finally get some Megadeth in Rock Band — shame it’s new Megadeth rather than any of their classics. Grab your metal while it’s cheap, headbangers.
