Wii Controller Attachments are little snap or slide on pieces, usually made of plastic, that resemble objects used in the game you are playing. These controller attachments include the Wii Bat, Wii Fishing Rod and Wii Tennis Racket. They can make many of the Wii games more fun and enjoyable to play, they can also help you, in some cases, perform the motion.

Wii Bats
Batters up with a Bat for the Wii. Wii bat attachments usually connect to the Wii Remote near the base of the bat. When you attach the remote to the bat you are forced to hold it like a bat, it may not seem natural without the attachment to hold the controller like this.

Wii Fishing Rods
Reel em’ in with a Wii Fishing Rod. Once you snap your Wii Mote and Wii Nunchuck into the Wii Fishing Rod Attachment you will feel a lot more comfortable playing just about any fishing game. In any game where you are actually required to do the reeling motion this will help greatly because with the nunchuck snug in its cradle you can easily rotate it without going out side the axis or having your hand go all over the place. Basically it just makes it a lot easier to do the reeling motion because you have something to hold on to.

Wii Tennis Rackets and Wii Ping Pong Paddles
Your serve. With a Wii Tennis racket you’ll have them running all over the court. Like the Wii Bat the Tennis Raquet will just force you to hold the Wiimote in the correct way which should make it a lot easier to play any of the tennis simulation games.

Wii Steering Wheels
Take turns like a pro with one of the many advanced Wii Steering Wheels available. Wii steering wheels come in the widest variety in terms of Wii controller attachments. From the official Mario Kart Wii wheel to the advanced 6-axis realistic steering wheel it all depends on your style. One thing is for certain the wheel makes it a lot more realistic. The only suggestions I have for the official wheel is that they make it in different sizes ( child, teen, adult ) or an adjustable one.

Wii Guns
Shoot em’ up with a Wii Gun! Make the precision of the Wiimote even more precise in any shooting game, use sights, lasers and more to take out your target. Wii gun attachments can greatly help in Wii gun games by giving the simulation of actually holding a gun. Usually the trigger is pressed when you press the trigger on the gun, the difference being that the remote and nunchuck are held in place and out of the way for you.

Wii Boxing Gloves
Give your hands a break with these Wii Boxing Gloves and Wii Sparring Gloves, these gloves will keep your hand in the “clenched” positon for you so you dont have to clench your fists constantly on anything. The remote slides into the palm area or can be attached to the back of the gloves so they’re completely out of the way.

Some new shots have emerged for Trauma Center: Under The Knife 2. Coincidentally, I’ve played a wee bit of the surgery sequel today, so I can bring you my early thoughts on the game. Good timing, no?

So it’s a return for Derek and Angie from the first game, after a brief spell in charge of the OR for Markus Vaughn and Valerie Blaylock in Wii sequel New Blood. And they’ve had a makeover, too - the visuals are cleaner and sharper than the DS original, taking their cues from the crisp look of the two Wii games.

As for the game itself - well, it’s essentially more of the same. The story’s a little different - this time Derek and Angie have to deal with the aftermath of the GUILT virus - but the structure’s almost identical. The presentation seems a little more assured than before, though it does get a bit too talky, even at this early stage. And the operations? Just as palm-sweatingly, brow-furrowingly intense as ever - though there’s now an Easy mode if you’re struggling.

Perhaps more of an expansion pack than a sequel in many ways, Under The Knife 2 is still looking good so far. Hopefully a few new ideas later on in the game will keep things fresh.

Yesterday, we reported a rumor of sorts which stated that Kid Icarus and Animal Crossing for the Wii would appear at E3 (and, contrary to some opinions, we never said it would be there, just that Factor 5 made a pitch to Nintendo).

Today, some further evidence of at least the latter title making an appearance has shown up in the UK’s Nintendo The Official Magazine, whose new issues is arriving to subscribers and will be available Friday.

As a part of their E3 promotion, they included the above image and caption, which reads “It’s been a while! It’s time to revisit an old friend. How’s your village doing these days?”

In addition, there is also the mention of two undisclosed action games. Could Kid Icarus be one?

Though the fervor around Super Smash Bros. Brawl has rather quickly died down in North America (a strong argument for DLC and better online, if ever there was one), Europe is only now legitimately (as I’m sure plenty imported) seeing the game released throughout its countries (and even meriting a new update to the Smash Bros. DOJO!! to boot). And to that end, the UK’s Official Nintendo Magazine has scored an interview with Brawl developer Masahiro Sakurai, which will arrive on store shelves this Friday.

On their website, they have elected to share some of the secrets and insights offered by the man, whose name is often shouted to the heavens whenever something goes wrong in the game– and occasionally in others, just because.

Sakurai tells that though development took three years, they tried to cut out new ideas early in development. “What happened in the next year and a half was that we distilled the game down,” he says, “worked out which ideas we had time to include and which we didn’t. Sadly, we had to trim out many great concepts just to keep within the time contraints. I had a lot more characters, for example.. but sadly I can’t discuss which ones didn’t make it.”

He continues, noting that he would not create a new game just to add those characters. “There are 39 characters in the game this time around and just adding a few more wouldn’t be enough to justify a new game in my opinion; I’d have to draw a line in the sand and have a new approach to make it worthwhile. As long as the fans enjoy it, though, that’s what matters and in the distant future, I guess that might be something I have to consider.”

One can only wonder who was cut– the rumored Animal Crossing character, perhaps?

It’s been almost twenty years since EA started making the Madden NFL series, and to be honest not much has changed other than the obvious developments in graphics. The game has always been controlled in roughly the same way with little tweaks to counter the changes in control pads from console to console, but now it seems as though it is time for EA to do something a bit different with their high selling American football series, and luckily there is also a new console that is controlled in a way like none other. In a launch line up otherwise devoid of proper sports titles does this mean that Madden NFL 07 will be the first American football game that is really worthy of being bought, after endless updates that offer very little in terms of new features or innovative gameplay.
