The Wii FreeLoader - nintendo console games reviews
No, we’re not talking about your brother-in-law who is always hogging your Wii… we’re talking about the disc that allows you to play any game for the Nintendo Wii, or GameCube According to the Wii FreeLoader site at Code Junkies…
Wii FreeLoader is really easy to use. Simply insert your FreeLoader disc and load it in the usual way. When the drive stops, eject the Wii FreeLoader disc and insert the game, which then loads and plays just like it would on its own region of Wii. It’s as simple as that! Wii FreeLoader is 100% unofficial, but as it requires no modifications to your console, it does not invalidate the warranty. As well as letting you play Wii games from all regions, Wii FreeLoader also works with imported GameCube games when played on your Wii. It won’t work in a GameCube console, though – for that, you need Freeloader for GameCube, also available from Codejunkies… Those interested in the Wii FreeLoader disc, it will set you back £9.99.

Crazy Nintendo Wiimote Accessory Patents
Some of these things are just weird. For example the bicycle you see above… are you suppose to ride circles around in your living room? Just doesn’t make any sense… but who am I to question Nintendo. And what’s with the teddy bear? That one is a a little perplexing. If you would like to view the full gallery of all the patents (and a I urge you to) head on over to NintendoWiiFanboy.com. To view the actual patent go here.Rumor: Wii Fit Getting LCD Screen
Niwifi.net is the first place I saw this “news”, below is how the rumor mill got started churning…
The rumor comes from an “supposed” email from World of Games, a game retailer in Europe. The email was sent out to all of those who pre-ordered the the game.
Autoboot Creator for Nintendo Wii
Ever wanted to patch a Wii ISO so that you could bypass the Wii Menu… and boot immediately? … sure we all have. Well LandeSoft has a new Windows program for you, the Wii Autoboot Creator. Nintendo-scene.com has the translated version of the release notes for the software…
What does it do? With this application, you can modify your backups, so that when inserting they will boot directly and you can avoid having to access the disk channel. You can also reverse the process, and go back to the manual boot. How does it work? It is very easy! Select the backup you want to edit, then select the mode boot (Automatic or Manual), and click change. What do I need to run it? The .NET Framework 2.0 if you have not installed it yet.
“Wii Certificate Program” Explained - nintendo console games reviews
Good News: If you go to GameStop this Friday, 12/21/07, you’ll be able to purchase a “Wii Certificate” that guarantees you a Nintendo Wii. Bad News: You won’t be able to pick up your already purchased console until January 25th… that’s right - over a month. So pretty much, this is how it boils down… you give them $250… you get an I.O.U… then you sit on it for a month. You might be asking yourself… what does a $250 certificate look like? Well, the certificate will be in a custom-designed DVD case featuring a picture of Mario and the Wii on the cover. (Sounds worth it to me - what do you think?) Kotaku makes a pretty funny point about this new program… So let me get this straight, you give GameStop your $250 and they get to sit on it for a full month, earning interest, and in return you get an empty DVD case and eventually a Wii? The least they could have done is thrown in a T-Shirt that read: “My Parents Waited Too Long to Shop for Me So All I Got for Christmas was this Shirt and a Lot of Empty Promises. See you in Therapy in Five Years.” But in all seriousness, you can make your reservation at any GameStop or EB Games location in the US (this includes Puerto Rico and Hawaii). Since the number of reservations available at each store is limited only one per household can be reserved. Nintendo Losing Money on Non-Existent Wiis
You would think that Nintendo would be swimming in a pool of cash with the popularity of the Wii, much like Scrooge McDuck did. Well.. they pretty much are, but what about every family who wants to buy a Wii… and can’t find one? Every console that could’ve bee sold, but isn’t… is lost money for Nintendo. To give you a frame of reference about just how much money Nintendo is losing, check out the following from Kotaku. Some analysts put the ballpark figure at around USD$1 billion. And that’s just on hardware, and that’s just for the holiday season. Other analysts, like James Lin from MDB Capital Group, put it even higher, somewhere around $1.3 billion. Kind of hate to say it, but this is all Nintendo’s fault. The Wii has been in production for well over a year now - and they still never caught up with the demand. After the last holiday season (which is just the same as this one)… they should have started in January assembling a stock pile of the gaming console.
No New Wii Colors for Japan in 2008
Have you heard the rumor about Japan getting the Wii in more colors than just white in 2008? You haven’t… well don’t get to excited - it’s all a lie. Kotaku.com has the original rumor… According to a rumor allegedly sourced from the latest issue of Weekly Famitsu magazine, Nintendo plans to introduce new Wii colors to coincide with the Japanese release of Super Smash Bros. Brawl. According to supposed early leaks from the magazine, Japan will have the chance to buy the Wii in five colors: red, diamond black, mint blue, snow pink, and Famicom-themed red and gold. The package would include a copy of Brawl, two Wii remotes and two nunchuk controllers. The Brawl bundle is reported to retail for 35000 yen, about $310 US. I’m sure most of you are thinking it… I’m just saying it - what kind of colors are those? They even sound fake. Well apparently, the source of the rumors has admitted that the above info was fraudulent. He/She is currently being beaten with a Wiimote - and it doesn’t even have the safety Wii sleeve on… oh the humanity.
